Can You Make Money With AI Trading Bots?

Yes, an automated strategy can produce profits. The harder question is whether those profits are repeatable, large enough after costs and achieved with a level of risk you can accept.

Profitable examples do not prove the category

Some automated systems have profitable live histories. Others fail. The fact that software or AI is involved does not remove the need for a durable trading edge.

Demand live evidence

Give more weight to verifiable live results than screenshots or backtests. Look for meaningful duration, enough trades and performance across different market conditions.

Measure what was risked

A return number is incomplete without drawdown and exposure. High leverage can make modest strategy performance look spectacular while also magnifying losses.

Calculate net profit

Subtract spreads, commissions, subscriptions, financing and performance fees. What matters to the user is the return retained after costs.

Expect uncertainty

Even a strong historical record can deteriorate. Treat automated trading as a risk allocation rather than a predictable income stream.
